Studies Improve Chances
In addition to common treatment methods with approved drugs and guideline-based therapy concepts, patients have the opportunity to participate in clinical studies. Clinical studies are absolutely necessary to achieve progress in cancer treatment. They are also essential for developing the best and most effective therapy strategies for patients.
Participation in clinical studies can be beneficial (quality feature & prognostic factor). In your individual case, please discuss current studies with your treating physician!
Goals of the Breast Cancer Portal
This portal offers comprehensive information on the goals, procedures, and conditions of current studies and surveys, and lists where these studies are conducted near you by study centers, clinics, or practices. In addition, we have compiled the most important facts about breast cancer and its therapy for you and are continuously expanding the information available to enable you to make well-informed decisions.
The new study portal on breast cancer studies was created under the organization of the Forum Gyn Oncology. We launched this portal together with the initiators Prof. Dr. Jens-Uwe Blohmer (Charité Berlin) and Prof. Dr. med. Sherko Kümmel (Kliniken Essen-Mitte) as an innovative information portal for people with breast cancer.
